 Just our luck, we install MOH:AA again just to play around have some fun, just like old skewl times, and what happens....We get accused that we are smurfing and all kinds of BS. I swear, not 1 thing has changed in the game. You still got the cheaters, still for the losers, and you still got those 12 year old kids that think they own...Oh how they missed the days when we went up the ladders.

| Battlefield 2: BF:2 Mod Tools and Stats Query Comming Soon... |
 Battlefield 2 Mod Tool Update
As we mentioned in this space a little over a week ago, the Battlefield 2 Editor was released to a small number of Mod Teams worldwide recently to help us uncover last minute configurations issues and/or documentation omissions. This process has been a tremendous success thanks to the dedicated Community Members involved, and we are in the process of addressing a few last minute issues with the Editor. With that said, we are still a few days from Open Beta release. We again ask for the community's patience, as our goal with the Editor is to provide the most stable, complete toolset possible.
Many of you have surely noted that a version of the Closed Beta tools have been illicitly provided to a wider audience without our approval. If you choose to download and install these files, please be aware that you do so without any expectation of support from EA or DICE. As noted, the BF2 Editor is still in the process of being cleaned up, and your experience with the toolset will surely be much more positive if you wait for the Open Beta release in the days ahead.
Community Stats Service
Shortly after we launched Battlefield 2, many users found ways to query the Stats system outside of the game client and began creating great interfaces and web sites that allowed users to pull their own (or really any player's stats). Unfortunately, we were forced to close this query off to the community after some malicious types in our Community began to run over-large and continuous queries. That said, we are currently deploying and testing a new service that will return some of this functionality to our dedicated players and we intend to provide this tool (along with guidelines for use of the service) very soon. Stay tuned to this space for news.

| Battlefield 2: BF:2 All Guns Unlocked on Ranked Servers? |

Profiles with all Weapons Unlocked "Many users logged into Battlefield 2 today to discover that they had access to all of the game's weapons unlocked in their profile. We have fixed the root issue that caused this to occur and by tomorrow morning all users will return to having access only to the weapons which they had earned. Once our solution is in place, if you find that you do not have access to weapons appropriate to your in-game rank, please direct inquiries to the Support sites linked below. In some cases users may be prompted to re-select the Unlock weapons that they are eligible for (if you are eligible for two weapons you will get to choose the two you wish to have unlocked).
Users in the U.S., please visit http://eatech.custhelp.com to report your technical issue and one of our Support representatives will help you out ASAP.

-- I can only laugh at this. Their stats server got hacked, most likely by some 15 year old kid, and they just cover it up with, "We have fixed the root issue that caused this to occur".

| Battlefield 2: BF:2 Patch v1.03 ETA End of August |

"Since its launch, we've tried to give Battlefield 2 all the support it deserves by releasing patches with the fixes and improvements you've asked for. Unfortunately, we haven't lived up to the standards we've set for ourselves. So all of us at EA and DICE are working extra hard to make sure that your Battlefield 2 experience improves dramatically in the coming weeks. Towards the end of August, we will be releasing a new patch called 1.03. This patch is currently underway and will undergo thorough testing to avoid the problems that have occurred in the past."
Here are just a few of the fixes you can expect to see in the 1.03 patch:
- Server and Client performance improvements.
- Improved Server Browser – added Favorites and History Lists.
- Point-farming prevention - game will stop Support/Medic/Engineer point farming exploits.
- Squads - locked squad leader will get a message if someone wants to join.
- Many HUD improvements - see the names of others in your vehicle, zoom level changing depending on vehicle, map zoom depending on map setup (16, 32 or 64 player map) etc.
- Teamkilling changes – the logic of how teamkills are tracked will be changed.
- Gameplay tweaks - the way transport helicopters work will be tweaked.
- Additional scoring changes - players who destroy an enemy commander's assets will be given points.
"There are over 140 fixes and improvements in the 1.03 patch and we're looking forward to everyone moving to 1.03 to get the best Battlefield 2 experience on a level, cheat-free playing field.
We also know that there is still an issue with availability of slots on Ranked Servers. We're all delighted that this new feature has been so popular, but we know that many of you are finding it hard to get onto a ranked server, especially at peak times. We are taking big steps and investing heavily to ensure that everyone can experience this side of Battlefield 2. New official servers have gone up in Europe and the U.S. this week and you will see many more going up in the coming weeks. Our vision is to make sure you never have to wait to get onto a ranked server."

| Battlefield 2: Inside Scoop on Content for BF:2 Special Forces |

Gamespot got some inside scoop on the new exspansion pack on what was going
to be included. More along the lines of what did they not include in BF:2 that
they will sell us in a few months...
"The focus is on the infantry experience," explained
producer David Yee. "We want all soldiers to feel like supersoldiers running
around the map." And judging from what we've seen, that'll certainly be
the case, because Special Forces will allow whole new levels of mobility and
agility. Trust us when we say you're going to be scaling up buildings and zipping
across wide chasms.
Special Forces will introduce six new factions to the game,
a huge jump from just the three that shipped with Battlefield 2. So joining
the US Marine Corps, the Chinese military, and the fictional Middle Eastern
Coalition are the British SAS, the US Navy SEALS, the Russian Spetsnaz, the
MEC Special Forces, and two fictional rebel groups, one of which is in conflict
with the Spetsnaz.
